Financial and Political Feasibility
Team Challenge
Is your Business Plan both Financially and Politically feasible?
Resources
Ask your Advisor and STEM Mentor to give you suggestions of business people you can interview about the basics of feasibility. If you were going to invest in this new idea, what would you personally want to know about its prospects for success?
Process
BASIC LEVEL OK, we won't remind you anymore about documenting who is doing what and writing down notes about what you are learning about yourself, leadership, global teamwork and science...(but if you forget, we'll never forgive ourselves).
Whoever is working on this section should develop your team's statement of Financial Feasibility
- What will your product cost customers?
- What will your product cost to produce?
- Are your customers willing to pay this price?
- Will the product be profitable and financially sustainable?

GOING BEYOND What are the political and societal barriers that exist in various countries that would make marketing the product difficult? (Ex. Some people do not want windmills in their communities because they impact the sight lines on the nearby hills)

GOING CRAZY Answer these additional questions about political feasibility.
- Are there any governmental impacts?
- How do regulations in your three countries help or hinder your product?
- Is your product regulated?
- Are any countries offering "green" subsidies for customers to purchase products such as yours?
